It’s been a while…

September 2, 2010 at 11:40 PM

Not a whole lot of updates on here this summer. It was spent mostly writing and recording new songs. There are two new albums in pre production at this point. But more on that later.

There were also a bunch of great shows. One worthy of mention was at Crash Mansion in NYC August 17th. Matt Rocker and the New Explosions played on the bill, playing The Beatles’ Revolver from beginning to end, feauturing me (AK) on drums, Ricky Wells on Bass, Spiff Wiegand on Guitar and Chris Q Murphy on Guitar and Keys.

Then AK and the Buzz Kill Joys played a rock and roll set. Good times were had.

And if THAT wasn’t enough, Ricky did a whole set of his songs with me (AK) back on the drums!

Thanks to everyone that came out.

Also there is a new video on the youtube channel.

Anthony Kapfer and the Buzz Kill Joys

June 14, 2010 at 8:24 PM

I have a full band backing me up at the show at Best Buy Union Square. It features Ricky Wells on bass and John Zakis on drums. We have been rehearsing like crazy and it’s been a lot of fun. These songs sound tight, and I am excited for everyone to hear these songs with this line up.
So if you live in the NY area, come down to Best Buy Union Square Wednesday, June 16 at 6pm.

I’ll be on the radio tonight, sort of. Go to and stream the show live tonight at 9pm Eastern Time. After the show is over, you’ll be able to download the show. I’ll be talking about my album, A SERIES OF EVENTS, and performing songs.

“Domino Effect” Music Video

February 25, 2010 at 2:51 PM

I am leaving for L.A. in a couple of days, but not before releasing a new music video from my new album. The video for “Domino Effect” is up on the site. It features footage of a Rube Goldberg Machine that was made and shot by the very talented Joseph Herscher. He was kind enough to allow me to use his clip in the video. For more info on him, go to

That’s all for now!

Look Out L.A.!

February 10, 2010 at 1:39 PM

I will be heading to L.A. at the end of the month to play drums for my friends The Big Death Scene. Hopefully I will also be doing a few solo acoustic shows playing songs from A SERIES OF EVENTS.

More on that later!

Tons more NYC shows have been added to the Tour Dates Page. Check them out.
